Museum InformationYesterday was a landmark day at the museum. Thanks to a dedicated crew of volunteers the collection was re-organized to bring two restored cars into the display area. Combine 7379 and the NAR Engineering Car were moved from Dunvegan Shop into the main area. The Engineering car is located just behind 73 and the Combine is on the track just north of Calder Shop. Phil Harris, Barry Collis and Hans Huizinga were instrumental in getting these cars finished and outside. In their place: AGW Combine, CN Refrigerator Car (wood) were put inside the shop and the Jordan Spreader sits just outside the south bay of Dunvegan Shop, in front of 73. This move required the combined efforts of Terry Wolfe, Brad Rae, Jim Sexsmith, Ted VanGunst, Dennis Pringle, Don Weymouth and Hans Huizinga. This accomplishment is very rewarding for those involved and the heritage railway movement is strengthened by such focus and energy. Congratulations! ***************************************** Due to some unexpected mechanical difficulties, we will not be operating trains for the balance of the season.
